Description: Sculpted in sunk relief, preserving a figure of the god Osiris to the left, with a wide band of hieroglyphic text at the top identifying him, reading “A gift which pharaoh offers to Osiris, foremost of the Westerners, the one who is perpetually happy, the lord of the necropolis, that he might give..,” to the right, the deceased wearing a festive costume with flaring, pleated sleeves, his face with portrait-like features, raising his arms in adoration before Osiris, five columns of hieroglyphic text between the figures containing epithets of Osiris and a prayer for a goodly burial for the deceased whose partially preserved titles include, “overseer of the shrine…”. Upper right corner reattached, otherwise intact. A beautiful example. Custom bronze plate base.

Description: Carved in sunk relief with the figure of a king, probably Ptolemy II, facing right, a sphinx holding a libation vessel offered by the king to the god standing at right, the king wearing a broad collar, long beard, and the crown of Upper Egypt with streamers behind, the god wearing bracelets, long beard, and smooth wig, and holding a scepter combining the djed, the Seth-headed Was, and another symbol, fragmentary columns of inscription and two cartouches in the field; remains of red and mustard-yellow pigment. Repaired from two large original pieces and upper left corner repaired from a few original pieces with restoration over the break lines. An exceptional example.

Description: Large and superb cast bronze mummiform Osiris, standing on an integral trapezoid-shaped base, the fisted hands, holding a crook and flail, wearing a broad collar, the royal false beard and atef-crown. Beautifully detailed facial features and overall finely detailed. Scattered blue-green surface patina with a red-brown oxide ground. Very minor loss to left tip of headdress feather, otherwise intact, exc. cond. Old custom tiered bronze base. A top museum quality example.

Description: Two different bronze daggers, including an example having a pommel with opposing roaring lion heads, fancy grip and small stylized zoomorphs at the guard. Blade repaired from two original pieces with old restoration over the break lines. Together with a dagger having a melon section shape pommel and fancy fluted hand grip, which once held a wooden or bone grip. Some scattered minor edge losses, otherwise intact. Both have overall blue-green encrusted surface patinas.

Description: Two different iron daggers, first a large example having a bronze grip and iron blade, fancy melon section pommel with lugs, fancy ringed hand grip. Overall encrusted blue-green and rust surface patina. Some scattered losses to the blade edges, otherwise intact. Together with a dagger having a bronze grip with a mushroom type pommel, decorated with a basket weave decoration on the hand grip. Iron blade has some minor edge roughness, otherwise intact. Excellent encrusted surface patina. Nice examples.

Description: Three ancient Egyptian bronzes, first a standing Osiris wearing Atef crown, beard and holding flail and scepter, symbols of authority. Thick and crusty verdigris patina. Carved wood base, marked 1977. Next an undulating cobra, its hood expanded, poised to strike. Tang base at the end of the s shaped body for attachment to a crown. Old wooden base. Finally, a hollow shaft finial in the form of Khnum, the ram with tripartite wig and wide aegis collar. Couple of ancient chips. Last two with dark green patina.

Custom lucite block base.

Description: Large cast bronze figure of Osiris, the Egyptian god of the underworld, standing in mummiform atop an integral rectangular plinth. He holds his signature flagellum and short-handled heka scepter (perhaps indicating Thebes as the figures place of origin) in offset arms held across the chest, and has sloping shoulders which trace down to bent elbows. His serene countenance is defined by a broad nose with flared nostrils, pouty lips with indented corners, smooth cheeks, a plaited false beard, and cupped ears, with thin brows surmounting the silver ovoid eyes. The head is capped with an Atef crown replete with a pair of broad ostrich feathers indicative of the Cult of Osiris, a pair of horizontal spiraling ram horns, and a frontal uraeus. Overall green and brown patina envelopes the surface. Lower legs and foot restored. Old wood block base.

Soft details and a hard to see glyph register on his front legs. Ancient loss to beard and a large patch of glaze loss on his left shoulder. Both have old custom wood block bases.

Description: Both are nicely detailed, tan-green glazed faience pottery mummiform ushabtis. The larger example, wears a striated royal wig and beard, holds well defined implements in both hands, and a seed bag over his left shoulder. Wide horizontal and vertical register of glyphs on waist and front legs. Loss to his beard and repaired break across upper legs, upper portion of figure is tan-green, lower portion is blue-green. Together with a greenish-tan glazed example, having finely detailed facial features, wearing the royal wig and beard. Holding implements in both hands and a seed sack over his left shoulder. Vertical and horizontal glyph bands on legs. Repaired break across knees and some minor scattered losses. Both with old custom wood bases.

Description: Two large blue-green glazed faience pottery mummiform ushabtis, both wearing the royal wig and beard, and holding implements in their hands. Both have several registers of glyphic inscription on their front legs, under a thick glaze, making the glyphs unreadable. The slightly larger example has been repaired from four large original pieces with break lines visible, and a few small pieces reattached in his feet, some losses along the break lines and a small chip on the tip of his beard. The other example is repaired from four large original pieces with break lines visible. Both are nice examples, which would respond well to a professional restoration. Old custom hardwood block bases.

Description: Three different handcrafted glazed pottery tiles, the type used for a Herat Mosque, of various geometric forms. The blue glazed spiral example is repaired from approximately six original pieces with some minor losses along the break lines. The blue glazed geometric tile has losses around the outer border and on the reverse. The multicolor glazed brow form tile has a small reattached tip, otherwise intact.

Three Egyptian steatite scarabs, all inscribed. Largest is light blue-green glazed and intact. The two smaller examples have a minor edge chip. A Middle Paleolithic knapped hand axe, marked: “Umm Keis”. Five knapped black obsidian arrow points, one has loss to the tip, otherwise all are intact. Two bronze arrow points, having heavily encrusted blue-green surface patinas. Both have losses. An Egyptian blue-green glazed hippo goddess amulet, intact. A nice example. An Egyptian striding jackal amulet, Intact. A small blue-green glazed Uzat eye amulet, intact. A Greek hand-modeled terracotta horse, Missing tail and right front leg reattached. An antique carved Chinese water buffalo. Intact. An antique small Tibetan lidded silver round container having fancy repousse and relief decoration. Three different ancient bronze coins, and an Egyptian bronze medallion and a silver coin.
